Earth Kiln Fire
Earth Kiln Fire is a small Wisconsin studio practice devoted to handmade ceramics — vessels and sculpture that move easily between the functional and the strange.
The work begins with raw clay on the wheel or in the hand, and ends in the kiln, where heat and glaze do the part that can never be fully controlled. That surrender to the fire is the heart of the studio's name.
From quiet, speckled tableware to playful deep-sea creatures, each piece is made one at a time, glazed by hand, and signed.
Made by hand
Wheel-thrown and hand-built in small batches — no molds, no mass production. The fingerprints stay in the clay.
Finished by fire
Glazes are mixed and tested in-studio, then fired to maturity. The kiln has the final word on every surface.
One of a kind
Because everything is individually made, every piece is a single edition — yours alone.
